The new Jabra Elite 5 earbuds offer noise canceling and use a high-end Qualcomm system on a chip to ... [+] provide great quality wireless audio.

Jabra is a Danish audio brand that makes some great speakerphones, headsets and earbuds. Now it’s using the IFA show in Berlin to announce the newest addition to its true wireless range of Bluetooth earbuds.

The Jabra Elite 5 earbuds are designed for music lovers as well as people who need to take phone calls. These earbuds offer the ideal balance between music listening and work use.

The new earbuds enable individuals to focus on the music or a phone call thanks to the latest Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). In addition, Jabra has selected Qualcomm’s QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset to cut out as much unwanted sound as possible.

The new Jabra Elite 5 earbuds have a low-profile design and comfortable new fit.

The Elite 5’s Hybrid ANC system uses feedback microphones placed inside the earpiece and feedforward microphones on the outside of the earbuds. This technique means the noise canceling performance is less affected by how the earbuds are positioned in the ear and ensure a more reliable noise cancellation across a broader range of frequencies.

The Jabra Elite 5 enables the user to make clearer phone calls thanks to six external microphones that are always on. There are also internal microphones in the earpieces that help to pick up the user’s voice with extra clarity, especially in windy conditions.

The earbuds have 6mm dynamic drivers, and the Bluetooth chipset supports Qualcomm aptX, AAC and SBC audio codecs. Jabra has also worked with Spotify to offer users Spotify Tap Playback.

With a full charge of the Jabra Elite 5 storage case, the earbuds can play for up to 28 hours.

Despite the advanced technology, the Jabra Elite 5 sport a sleek profile with a discreet and compact fit that Jabra claims is superbly comfortable. In addition, the Bluetooth connectivity supports Bluetooth Multipoint, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift pair, Google Assistant and Alexa Built-In for voice commands.

A full charge of the Jabra Elite 5 provides seven hours of playtime with the ANC function turned on. With the power stored inside the charging case, there’s up to 28 hours of listening time. The earbuds also have a customizable EQ and an IP55 durability rating for shrugging off water and sweat.

Pricing & Availability: The Jabra Elite 5 is available from today and costs $149 / £149 / €149.
